Ana Maria’s dream is to be a model and a fashion designer, but her parents—unhappy with her aspirations and going through economic hardships—want to leave everything behind and flee to Colombia. However, Ana María gets the golden opportunity to flee to Buenos Aires by herself, and start over. Since the beginning of her journey, reality reminds her that she is not a tourist. Holding on to her dreams, Ana María must fight on and accept her new reality as an adult immigrant; joining the more than 4 million Venezuelans who are part of the largest refugee crisis in the history of the Americas. Ana María perseveres through the darkest times of her journey, holding on to the hope that the regime in Venezuela will fall, so she can return to a new country to meet her parents again.
